Joyce Pearson is the founding managing member of Equitable Divorce Solutions LLC. She possesses over 22 years of Financial Planning and Investment Management experience having started her financial planning career at EF Hutton in Springfield, Illinois. Since 1999, she has counseled individuals/couples regarding the equitable distribution / division of assets for pending marital dissolutions and legal separations. Joyce is recognized as an expert witness by the Maricopa County Superior court and can testify regarding the future implications to cash flow and projected net worth of individuals and couples as a result of a proposed settlement. In addition, she assists individuals and their attorneys in determining which assets to liquidate, possible tax consequences upon liquidation and suggested order of liquidation for transfer to the spouse. Ms. Pearson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry. She is a Certified Financial Planner having obtained that distinction through the University of Phoenix, Arizona and holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. In addition to Advanced Training in the Preparation of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, she has qualified to participate on a Collaborative Divorce Team in Arizona. She is licensed as a Registered Representative, Investment Advisor Representative with Series 7 and 63 licenses as well as being a licensed Life, Accident & Health Agent in Arizona. Ms. Pearson is a former Board Member of the Financial Planning Association, Greater Phoenix Chapter and is one of the founders of the Arizona Certified Divorce Planners, Arizona Chapter. She was a charter member of the Arizona Association for Collaborative Divorce Professionals and currently she is a Board Member of the Society of Financial Professionals. Joyce is an active speaker and educator. She has been quoted in Kiplingers magazine, USA Today, Channel 12 and has appeared on several Financial Planning forums locally for the public. In the past 7 years she has conducted workshops for individuals considering divorce as well as participated in many seminars for her colleagues including: ● FPA (The Financial Planning Association Greater Phoenix Chapter) 2003. ● SFSP (Society of Financial Service Professionals) 2 presentations 2003 & 2007. ● Maricopa County Bar Association (2002 & 2003). ● ASCPA (AZ Society of CPAs (2004,2008)). ●National Business Institute (2002& 2008). ● NAPFA (2004) – National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. ● PESI’s Handling the Financial Issues of Divorce 2004 and 2005.
